MUDIS4LS project (ESR+/EquipEx PIA3) is leaded by the French Institute of Bioinformatics (IFB). It is based on 4 technological workpackages and 5 thematic projects (Implementation Studies). It gathers 39 teams from 14 organisations, 4 national data centers, 7 regional data centers and 6 national data-producing infrastructures. In addition to the equipment, it provides the basis for structuring a distributed digital infrastructure, operated by all the IFB platforms and managed by a shared task force (WP2). A major goal of the project is to ensure the orchestration of data flows throughout their life cycle (WP3), from production to distribution via national and international repositories (WP3). It also takes up the challenge of artificial intelligence for the life sciences (WP4). Its 5 implementation studies aim to tackle the challenge of multi-omics, imaging and phenomena integration (IS1) and to focus developments on the needs of 4 targeted communities: marine ecology (IS2), health (IS3), microbiology (IS4) and agriculture (IS5).
This project will enable the LABGeM team to finance equipment for the MicroScope platform, as well as participate in the IS4.
