Virulence gene detection by BLASTp has been integrated on the MicroScope platform.
The database is based on VFDB, VirulenceFinder and E. coli reference data.
In order to ease the functional interpretation of the results, a virulence factor classification from VFDB was attributed to each gene as frequently as possible. Additional virulence factors have also been added to VirulenceFinder and E. coli entries.
Virulence results are also available in the gene annotation result section and in the search by keywords tool.
Some other enhancements have been made:
– UniProtKB BLAST results have been updated
– Blast search now displays the query length
